NAMING BRANDING PACKAGING STRATEGY
The Spice Agency were tasked with the overarching objective to design a label to attract customers from the Shiraz category leaders and provide them with a trusted wine brand worthy of discovering and buying again.
The Butchers Friend label provides simple, yet strong visual reference cues that pay tribute to the wine industry and its inherent linkages to food whilst keeping in mind the target market male over 40 consumers.



The design links to the great compatibility of Shiraz with bold flavoured food, particularly meats/charcuterie/deli foods. This is achieved by using beautiful antiquarian line drawings of contents from delicatessens and traditional butcher shops.
Spice utilised an angled label for distinctiveness yet relatively simple with its design elements. The design highlights its representation of the Shiraz category and provides a safe home for the consumers looking for a fruit forward friendly wine.
